If you were enquiring after booking office hours, please include the desired date and time. If this is an emergency, please dial my clinic at the police station.
Otherwise, leave me a message.
Have a nice day.

This must be a unique place indeed if you can offer your name so freely here...or perhaps you just don't fear the consequences.
[Voice]
...And why wouldn't I be able to offer my name freely, Mr....?
[Voice]
[He gives it without a hitch. Hiding his own name means nothing to him.]
I think we both know who you really are. You left an interesting mark on Gotham. Everybody knew your name.
[Voice] - Private from here on!
The name didn't ring a bell. Still... this was not to be ignored, his little... introduction considered.]
You know, I know and that kitten burglar knows, it-may-be, but no one else does.
Do you intend to try to change that for me, Mr. Bane? My research makes me ill-suited for such fame.
[Voice] - PermaPrivate?
On the contrary! I would think your talents would put a little life in this city yet! Nothing like putting a little fear in the hearts of others!
[His words are enthusiastic, no bit of falsity to draw from. He imagines somebody that prides themselves in being a so-called doctor of the mind.]
And that probably makes you wonder why I would bother to reveal my knowledge of who you are...or have you figured it out?
Yes!
Troublesome.
But... intriguing. Especially as he mentions fear.]
The only reasons you might have 'called me out', as you put it, would be to threaten me or to make me an offer...
I wonder which it is, Bane. Though, your respect for me... research, I must admit, is heartening. So few people really appreciate its livelihood.
c:
You are not wrong, but I will not bore you with details.
[Details that would fully answer that.]
I find your work to be interesting and uniquely appropriate to my interests.
no subject
[But, if he wasn't in a sharing mood... there would be time for that. Later. Crane would see to it.]
And what are... your interests?
no subject
[Of course not, but Bane likes them. That is all that matters.]
My interest lies in taking away the comforts that so many have allowed themselves to become too enamored with. That is only part of it though. I figured I would give you something for that question.
You have an interest in causing a little disruption in the population, don't you? It might be for different reasons, but I always say that a man's entertainment leaves much more to be appreciated with willing accomplices.
no subject
A surprise? No. That might get in his way.
That gutter cat and this mouth-breather... what annoyances.]
Are you saying you're a willing accomplice? Usually, accomplices tend to be more up front with one another, Mr. Bane.
How can I be so sure we really have so much in common, if you're unwilling to talk to me?
But... that aside. It does sound as if we share mutually beneficial interests. [There. He'd admit that much to this stranger-- that he was intrigued.]
So sorry on the wait I missed this somehow...
You could say accomplice. I would be willing to use that title. it would be foolish of me to disclose everything up front. When somebody runs out of things to say then they are just opening themselves up to failure later on.
No. I think I will keep something to myself.
[He chuckles.]
I am pleased you see that this would ultimately benefit the both of us. I think this will end up working quite well.
<3!
[Really, he could care less. The higher you were, the harder you fell.
He'd prefer someone else take the fall, if it came to their apparently mutual 'interests.']
I do not like being lied to, or kept in the dark.
While you don't have to communicate our previous business to me, I don't think it out of line to ask-- what might your current plans involve?
no subject
[Though the classic reasons still exist of course. People do have to hold tightly to their ideals.]
You remember what the League of Shadows was all about. After all, you did help Ra's al Ghul at one point. This is more of an...I help you then you will help me deal.
no subject
He understood, now. At least a little bit more clearly.
Settling, he gives a careful nod, no longer inwardly ruffled.]
You do know my hobbies then, and I can guess at yours.
Fine. I see no reason why cooperation wouldn't be useful for both of us, Mr. Bane.
Where will you be stationing yourself, here?
[A brow raised. He did mean 'what kind of job will you be after to begin with, if any.']
no subject
[Now Bane has a more quiet enthusiasm. He thinks for a moment before speaking again.]
I haven't really given it much thought what i will be doing here in terms of keeping myself busy. I'm not exactly the sort of person that many would consider customer service worthy.
I'd adapt better to a place where I get to use my fists to do the talking.
no subject
no subject
[Two can play at that, Miss Kyle. It's easier to be dumb than it is to be smart. He can sink to your level.]
no subject
Are we really going to play this game?
no subject
I'm not playing any games, Miss Kyle. I was hoping I'd made that clear.
no subject
[ She will hold this against you. ]
You must have a terrible life if the only entertainment you have is drugging innocent girls.
no subject
[Mostly true...
Selina certainly didn't count as 'innocent.' But still, as this was a public line, he stressed the word 'anyone'. Not 'innocent'.]
Secondly, aside from the rare break-in, my life is usual enough and just as I like it; your judgement seems rude and mean-spirited. Is your life's entertainment picking on doctors?
no subject
Don't tell me I've hurt your feelings, Doctor.
no subject
no subject
no subject
I merely did the same.
I hope I didn't hurt your feelings?
[Feel that burn.]
no subject
And nothing you say could ever hurt my feelings.
ll PRIVATE
Oh, I don't know. Calling you a whore had some effect. After all, you did tear through my apartment like a mad she-devil. Tell me; was that not an emotional response?
no subject
Here we go with that wild accusation. Aren't I entitled to due process?
voice;
He might not be entirely truthful here, though, just because he doesn't quite trust Crane yet. Unfortunately he knows he's going to have to trust someone if the thing with Erskine goes the wrong way.]
Doctor, your relationship with the police has been secured, yes? And you have an asylum now? [he hasn't been paying a lot of attention to that, too busy with other things.]
Voice ll PRIVATE
He goes to secure the line.]
Yes to both, Mr. Schmidt.
I would have thought I'd clarified as much already.
What is it I can do for you?
[LET'S BE REAL HERE, he knows this isn't a pleasure call between friends.]
Voice ll PRIVATE
his dadthe man who created him, hiring Gwen Stacey to make a formula he could use against Peter Parker, the minihulks, etc, etc.But nope, not a social call.] If one of my men were apprehended for murder, could you declare him insane and place him your asylum where he would, I hope, be comfortable? [He really means himself here; he doubts Steve is going to mess around and just find the man who fired the fatal shots.]
no subject
No one likes an over-achiever~ Too flashy. Too easy to get noticed, caught...
Ah. Here we have it, then.]
Simple enough.
My inmates are always very comfortable.
dhgkjfgh my tags are sucktastic today xD almost there
Your asylum seems like a good safe haven for any criminal allies you have.
no worries! /o/
I wouldn't worry about Captain America. I've seen what happens to him.
[Harvey Dent, Captain America... it's all the same, isn't it? It always is.]
no subject
[Oh hey, now he';s curious, since you're all about the psychology there, Crane.] And what exactly happens to him?
no subject
[A soft smile, trite.]
Ones who may have been accessories to murder and madmen also... or ones who will become madmen, after you've given them to my care. There are a few little things I've been wishing to test....
I doubt you'd find this trade unreasonable?
[Money is always good too, but that's what he has Bane for. Protection and money.
Everything was coming along nicely. Not a single bat in the night to ruin it.]
...Their handsome faces melt off, just as yours did, and show what truly lies beneath. Someone with high ideals falls the hardest when they're forced to open their eyes to the true nature of the world. His day will come; and unlike those of use with a strong mind, he will likely succumb to pestilence and weakness in the face of it.
He may have the last laugh, Mr. Schmidt. But it will be from within a cell.
no subject
[He winces inwardly at Crane's comment about his face, but says nothing of it. He didn't care, he kept telling himself.] He is very attached to his friends, he has such faith of them, maybe that will be his undoing. Or something else entirely. I wonder if such things can be forced, or made to happen, instead of waiting for them to take their natural course. [Yeah he's already thinking about it. Thanks, Crane.]
no subject
[It's less of a lending scheme, more of a trade, Schmidt.]
Patience is a virtue, as they say.
And for those who don't have patience, there's always low-PH acetic acid.
no subject
Patience really isn't something he's good at, at all. Probably why he went and killed Erskine the way he did when he should've waited.] While that would be satisfying, I would much rather use his friends against him.
no subject
[Bizarre, foolish man.
But it didn't bother him any.]
I, and the asylum, will be waiting. Was that all, Mr. Schmidt?
no subject
Oh thanks a lot, Crane. Have a little gratitude for the guy who is paying you and giving you lab rats, why don't you?]Yes, it was. Thank you, doctor. [And not wanting to prolong this, he hangs up, cos now he has some new plans for Steve to consider.]
